 C F
 He was working through college
 C G
 On my grandpa's farm
 C F
 I was thirsting for knowledge

 Bridge 1
 C F
Yeah, I was caught somewhere between a woman and a child
 C F
One restless summer we found love growing wild
 G F
On the banks of a river on a well beaten path
 G F
It's funny how those memories they last

             G
 Seventeen
 	        Am
 The hot July moon
 	      F

 Like Green on the Vine
 F C
 Strawberry Wine

 Verse 2

 I still remember
 When thirty was old
 My biggest fear was September
 When he had to go

 Bridge 2
A few cards and letters and one long distance call
We drifted away like the leaves in the fall
but year after year I come back to this place
just to remember the taste of

 ***Chorus***

 Verse 3
 Dm
The fields have grown over now
 G7
Years since they've seen the plow
 Dm
 There's nothing time hasn't touched
 Am C
Was it really him or the loss of my innocence
 G
 I've been missing so much.
 F C
 Yeaaaah.

 Solo

 C G Am F

 ***Chorus***

The first 3 lines of verse 3 may sound a little awkward. I think it's
 alternation between G7
and Dm. I am not sure of the correct sequence. The way it's written sound
 right. You will have
to figure out the timing for switching chords in the solo part from the
actual song. I would like to
thank my friend Eric Shupe for helping me with this. If there is any
 correction please notify me
 at jokim7@vt.edu.
