NORTHERN SKY- Nick Drake
TUNING: D A D G D F#
D Em9 D Em9 D Em9 D Em9
D Em9
I never felt magic crazy as this
D Em9
I never saw moons near the meaning of the sea
D Em9
I never held the motion in the palm of my hand
D Em9
Or felt sweet breezes in the top of the tree
Asus4 Em11 A7sus4 D Em9 D Em9
But now you're here, brighten my northern sky
D Em9
Been a long time that I'm waiting
D Em9
Been a long time that I've blown
D Em9
Been a long time that I've wondered
D Em9
Through the people I have known

Oh if you would and you could straighten my new mind's eye

Would you love me for my money
Would you love me for my head
Would you love me through the winter
Would you love me till I'm dead
Oh if you would and you could come grow your home on high

I never saw the moon neath the meaning of the sea
I never held emotion in the palm of my hand
Felt sweet breezes in the top of the tree
But now you're here, brighten my northern sky

NOTES: Not so long ago I figured this song out using standard tuning. I
since think I've gotten more or less the actual alternate tuning version
figured out, but I'm rather new to thing alternate tuning thing so I may
have some big mistakes.
On the middle part, play the notes shown but you can also continue to
strum a bit, especially where the chords are shown fully.
You may notice I included Em7 but it isn't mentioned in the song. Add
this at the ends of lines (when you would be otherwise playing Em9) for a
little variety.
